The highly anticipated New Scientist Live show is to return to London, taking place on Saturday 7th October to Sunday 8th October at ExCeL London .

Schools Day is taking place on Monday 9th October so schoolchildren from all over the UK can attend with their classmates and teachers. Sign up to schools’ day here.

From live science experiments to talks by world-class scientists, up-and-coming researchers and the UK’s top academic minds, the educational and enlightening festival promises to showcase the latest breakthroughs, innovations, and discoveries. From exploring space to demonstrations of AI controlled robotics – the very latest in technology and science will be on show.

New Scientist Live is taking place both as a physical event, and online and is aimed at anyone who is curious about our brains, our bodies, our planet, and our universe. Whether they are science enthusiasts, students, families looking to introduce their children to the world of STEM or simply a curious individual eager to learn, there is something for everyone.

New Scientist Live has become a flagship event for science enthusiasts, researchers, industry professionals, and curious minds from around the globe. This year, the show aims to take participants on an exhilarating journey through the frontiers of scientific knowledge, fuelling their curiosity and sparking discussions.

The three-day extravaganza will see ExCeL transformed into a hub of scientific exploration and discovery. Attendees can expect a wide array of captivating presentations, interactive exhibits, workshops, and engaging panel discussions featuring some of the brightest minds in science.

Highlights of New Scientist Live 2023 include:

TALKS : A packed programme with speakers including nuclear chemists, physicists and astrophysicists, philosophers, mathematicians and well known TV presenters talking about everything from AI and robots, to climate change, lab-grown meat and cosmology.

ENGAGING EXPERIENCES : On the gigantic show floor 80+ stands showcase the latest research and technology, interactive experiences for the whole family, and a lively Market Place with the best scientific swag.

SCHOOLS' DAY : New Scientist Live is ideal for Key Stages 2 (Upper), 3 & 4 students. Monday 9 October is the dedicated School’s Day when handpicked speakers will showcase everything that science offers, from mind-bending maths puzzles to the wonders of nature, to local students letting them see the huge range of careers STEM can offer.
