Seiko Announces Reinterpretation of 1968 Diver
Discover the timeless allure of the Seiko Prospex 1968 Diver's Reinterpretation. Dive into the revolutionary innovation of this iconic timepiece.

Seiko proudly introduces the Prospex 1968 Diver’s Reinterpretation . In 1968, Seiko launched revolutionary new innovation with the world's first hi-beat Diver's watch. With a case design inspired by the original 1968 piece, carrying the name ‘Marinemaster’ from Seiko ’s heritage in diving watchmaking, this new re-interpretation has the same 300m water resistance.
Under a dual-curved sapphire crystal glass is a crisp white dial with a subtle sand-like pattern. Designed for high contrast under water, all aspects are optimised for diving conditions: a streamlined case, with the crown in the comfy 4 o'clock position, strong Lumibrite for legibility at the darkest depths and a unidirectional rotating bezel as per ISO Diving standard.Especially crafted for divers, the 8L35 calibre is a highly accurate, reliable and robust movement. Crafted at the Shizukuishi Watch Studio in Japan's Iwate prefecture, this calibre is accurate to +15/-10 seconds per day with a 50-hour power reserve
The Seiko Prospex 1968 Diver’s Reinterpretation will be available for pre-order from 2nd September at Seikoboutique.co.uk , £2,580.
