AVI-8 commemorates D-Day 80th Anniversary with Limited Edition Collection

This year, AVI-8 proudly commemorates the 80th Anniversary of Operation Overlord, the monumental WWII Allied invasion of Normandy, with the upcoming launch of the D-Day 80th Anniversary Limited Edition Collection . Operation Overlord, the codename for the largest amphibious operation in history, holds a special place in the annals of bravery and sacrifice.

AVI-8’s limited edition series of 5 timepieces pays a heartfelt tribute to the courageous spirit and immense sacrifice that paved the way for the Allies to begin the end of World War II. Each watch in this special collection is inspired by a namesake aircraft that served during the historic battle for the Normandy coastline. Echoing the symbolism of the epic event, all watches feature the iconic ‘Invasion Star’ used by the Allies and are adorned with commemorative engravings of various codenames and coordinates of each beach used in the invasion.
