Craft Buddy launches Li'l Worlds miniature collection featuring Harry Potter and Hello Kitty

The new range of miniature model kits brings popular characters and imaginative scenes into the world of crafting, with prices starting at £6.99.

Craft Buddy has unveiled Li'l Worlds, a new collection of miniature model kits designed to make the increasingly popular hobby of miniature building more accessible to children, beginners and experienced craft enthusiasts.

The collection features designs inspired by familiar characters and fantasy worlds, including Hello Kitty, Harry Potter and the artwork of Anne Stokes, alongside original miniature rooms and decorative bookshelf displays.

With prices ranging from £6.99 to £39.99, the range offers projects of varying complexity, from simple models that can be assembled in minutes to more detailed creations requiring several hours of work.

Bringing miniature worlds to life

The Li'l Worlds collection has been developed around the growing appeal of miniature making and Book Nooks, small decorative scenes designed to sit between books on a shelf.

Craft Buddy has divided the range into five categories: Li'l Character Worlds, Li'l Rooms, NookBox, NookScene and NookScape.

Each offers a different approach to miniature construction, allowing customers to create everything from character themed interiors to elaborate fantasy settings.

The kits are designed to appeal to different ages and abilities, with an emphasis on making the building process enjoyable rather than unnecessarily complicated.

Once completed, the models can be displayed on desks, shelves or in bedrooms, combining the satisfaction of completing a craft project with the appeal of a collectible decorative object.

Making crafting more accessible

Gary Wadhwani, cofounder of Craft Buddy, said the company had identified growing interest in miniature models but recognised that many existing products could be intimidating for newcomers.

"We've seen a huge rise in interest in miniature worlds and Book Nooks, but many of the kits available can be quite complicated or time consuming, particularly for beginners."

He explained that the new collection was intended to offer a broader range of experiences.

"With Li'l Worlds, we wanted to create a collection that anyone could enjoy, whether they're discovering miniature model making for the first time or already love crafting. From quick, fun projects to more detailed builds, there's something for everyone."

The inclusion of established entertainment characters is also intended to broaden the collection's appeal.

"We're particularly excited to bring much loved characters and licences into the collection, alongside our own original designs," Wadhwani added.

Creativity beyond the finished model

The launch reflects the appeal of activities that encourage people to spend time creating something tangible.

Unlike conventional collectible toys, miniature model kits require customers to assemble their own finished pieces, offering a combination of practical creativity, concentration and personal achievement.

The range also provides an alternative to screen based entertainment, with projects suitable for individual crafting sessions or shared activities at home.

By offering both introductory kits and more elaborate designs, Craft Buddy hopes to attract newcomers while providing additional options for established enthusiasts.

The finished models are intended to be kept and displayed, giving the collection an appeal beyond the initial building experience.

Prices and availability

Li'l Worlds is available now through Craft Buddy, with recommended retail prices ranging from £6.99 to £39.99.

The collection includes licensed character designs, original miniature rooms and decorative Book Nooks, with different build times and levels of complexity.

With Christmas approaching, the range also enters the market during a key period for gifts and creative activities, offering an accessible introduction to miniature model making for those looking to try something new.
