What first sparked the idea for Chill Towards Enlightenment?

I’ve noticed that we have more technology than ever but we’re somehow more bummed than ever. And honestly… that blows. I wanted to give people a solush (solution) to the pervasive bummer killing our stoke.

Your show explores big questions about purpose, surrender and manifestation. Are these things you've genuinely spent time thinking about in your own life?

100%. I started by watching youtube videos explaining these principles cause I was too lazy to read. Then I got hooked and started crushing philosophy books - vedanta, taoism, stoicism, zen - and then trying to actually live that knowledge. I think learning to surrender and live according to your purpose is one of best things you can do to truly enjoy this life.

The idea of being "chill" is the main focus of the show. How do you stay chill these days?

I love surfing, snuggling my dog and fiance, doing calf raises, and watching Dua Lipa: Live in Mexico City.

Was there a particular moment when you realised you wanted to create a show that blended comedy with ideas around self-improvement and spirituality?

I made an Instagram video explaining that meditation uses a mantra to quiet the mind... and that my mantra was imagining a nice pair of boobies. That was basically the birth of the whole show.

The self-help industry can be both inspiring and ridiculous. What fascinates you most about it?

Tony Robbins' hands fascinate me. I think if mine were that size I'd be twice the teacher. I'm working on manifesting bigger digits.
