We are delighted to announce Prince Gyasi as the photographer for the 2024 Pirelli Calendar in a year that will celebrate 60 years of the Calendar (1964-2024).
Pirelli said," Pirelli has always been attentive to the language of photography and its evolution. We see in the shots of the young artist Prince Gyasi a new language that transmits positive energy and powerful messages, which also speaks to the new generations. His work reveals an original aesthetic; it is a journey into colour within a world of unique characteristics."
Speaking about this annoucement Prince Gyasi said, "I'm honoured that Pirelli has given me the opportunity to express my thoughts, feelings and emotions on their canvas for the 50th Calendar. Being the first African and Black artist behind the Pirelli Cal for 2024 has given me the chance to highlight some of the people who have inspired me over the years as a kid and as an adult. Representation and culture are very important to me, therefore, for the first time in the calendar's history, I have decided that part of the project will take place in my country Ghana."
Further information on the cast theme and additional imagery will be release later on in September
