Trauma to Triumph
Lekan breaks down on stage at Trauma to Triumph book launch, turning author interview into powerful moment of vulnerability and connection.

**Book Launch Delivers an Evening of Music, Vulnerability and Inspiration.
An intimate and powerful launch event brought guests together for an evening that went far beyond the traditional book launch, combining live music, honest conversation and a deeply personal story of transformation.**
From the moment guests arrived at the launch of Trauma to Triumph, it was clear that this would be more than simply a celebration of a new book.
Guests were welcomed with the opportunity to have their photographs taken against a bespoke Trauma to Triumph backdrop, immediately setting the tone for an immersive and memorable evening.
Ahead of the official programme, author Lekan personally greeted guests as they arrived, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The room quickly filled with anticipation and a sense that something meaningful was about to unfold.
The evening opened with a live performance from soul artist James Aaron and his band. Guests were then treated to an unexpected moment when Lekan himself walked onto the stage with guitar in hand and joined the band.
For those already familiar with Lekan’s musical background, it was a fitting addition to the evening. For others, it revealed another side of the author behind Trauma to Triumph.
Following three songs, host Debra Chosen took to the stage to introduce Lekan’s story before sitting down with him for an intimate live interview.

A Conversation That Changed the Atmosphere
The interview became the emotional heart of the evening.
Speaking openly about his experiences and the journey behind Trauma to Triumph, Lekan shared the lessons, challenges and personal transformation that ultimately inspired the book.
As the conversation moved towards the trauma that had shaped his life, the atmosphere in the room changed.
Overcome with emotion, Lekan broke down while sharing his story. It was an unscripted moment of vulnerability that resonated deeply with those in attendance.
The audience responded with warmth and compassion, creating a powerful sense of connection throughout the room. What began as an author interview became something far more personal: a shared moment of honesty, reflection and humanity.
That vulnerability became one of the defining moments of the evening and embodied one of the central messages behind Trauma to Triumph - that difficult experiences do not have to define where a person’s story ends.

From Personal Experience to Practical Transformation
Following the interview, the conversation opened to the audience, with guests asking thoughtful questions about how the principles explored in the book can be applied to everyday life.
Questions ranged from how to live “above the clouds” during difficult circumstances to managing perfectionism without experiencing burnout and pursuing ambitious dreams while remaining present for family.
Drawing on his own experiences and the frameworks explored in Trauma to Triumph, Lekan responded to each question with openness and practical insight.
The audience’s reaction reflected how strongly the conversation resonated, with repeated applause throughout the question-and-answer session.

Celebrating the People Behind the Journey
As the evening drew to a close, Lekan took time to acknowledge and thank those who had supported him throughout the writing process and during the experiences that ultimately led to the creation of the book.
He also introduced guests to his new website and coaching services, giving attendees exclusive insight into the next stage of his work and his wider mission to help others move beyond adversity and towards personal transformation.
James Aaron and his band then returned to the stage for a final performance as Lekan began signing copies of Trauma to Triumph, speaking with guests and taking photographs.
By the end of the evening, conversations extended far beyond the book itself.
Guests left reflecting on the honesty of what they had witnessed, the lessons shared and, most importantly, how the experience had made them feel.
The launch was not defined by corporate polish or carefully rehearsed moments. Its impact came from something more powerful: authenticity.
Through music, conversation, vulnerability and connection, the launch of Trauma to Triumph became a living expression of the book’s message ,demonstrating how even the most difficult chapters of a person’s life can become part of a story of growth, purpose and triumph.
