This Sunday 3rd October The infamous Notting Hill Fish & Meat Shop will be launching the inaugural and official London Oyster Festival 2021 in partnership with Guinness and Tabasco.
There will be Guinness on tap throughout the event from midday to 6pm and in their usual high energy and unique style iconic DJ, Fat Tony, has been enlisted to bring the beats all afternoon.
Master shucker Bobby Grove, author of best selling book "oyster Isles" as well as Notting Hill Fish Shop's own Fredrik Linfors, a world shucking champion, will be competing against each other and a number of their shucker friends as well as providing tips, tuition and expert knowledge to the crowd. A selection of oysters will also be cooked on the Japanese robata grill by Storm Ashdown of @whatstomeats so you can experience the delicacy in a variety of different styles
A monster selection of the best artisanal oysters from producers across the UK will be on offer including Jersey Natives, Porthilly Rocks, Maldon Rocks and Falmouth Natives. Each served at £2 per oyster regardless of garnishes of toppings. Ten incredible producers from around the UK have been chosen to participate in the event in what will be a magnificent showcase of each of these delicious and distinguished varieties.
