Maison Mirabeau’s Dry Rosé Gin makes for the perfect Mother’s Day gift with its pale pink hues and beautiful perfume-like bottle.
Born in the French Riviera, the gin is inspired by the abundance of botanicals growing wild around the wine estate, near Saint Tropez, as well as those used in the world-famous perfume trade in nearby Grasse.
At its core, Mirabeau Gin is a classic Dry Gin. Mirabeau is made from a 100% grape-based neutral spirit, using grape skins otherwise discarded during the winemaking process, which adds roundness and subtle fruitiness to the palate. Lemons and coriander seed add layers of fresh citrus character. Orris and Angelica roots impart floral and earthy tones respectively. Rose Petals, Lavender and Jasmine are used sparingly to bring a variety of floral tones. Finally, Bay, Thyme and Rosemary add a finely balanced herbaceous character to the blend.
This Mother’s Day, toast to your loved one with a Pink Martini by adding dry vermouth, or top with Fever Tree Aromatic Tonic to create the signature Mirabeau G&T, garnishing with a sprig of fresh rosemary and grapefruit wedge.
Maison Mirabeau’s Dry Rosé Gin 70cl is available at Waitrose. RRP £35.00
