From the depths of Waterdeep, a new legend arises. EXG Pro, the team behind the acclaimed Cable Guys device holders, has announced its latest creation: the officially licensed Xanathar Cable Guy, inspired by one of the most infamous villains in the Dungeons & Dragons universe.
Part collectible, part functional art piece, the Xanathar Cable Guy is both a loyal sentinel for your controller, phone, or remote and a must-have treasure for tabletop fans. Faithfully sculpted with meticulous detail, the piece captures the beholder crime lord’s menacing charisma - complete with his ever-present goldfish companion, Sylgar.
But Xanathar guards more than your gear. Hidden within his lair lies a built-in Dice Tower, allowing players to roll for their fate under the unblinking gaze of the beholder himself.
“Xanathar is celebration of fandom,” said Alan Fenwick, (EXG Pro, Founder). “We wanted to capture everything that makes Dungeons & Dragons special: imagination, craftsmanship, and community. This project for the fans.”
The Xanathar Cable Guy marks EXG Pro’s first-ever crowdfunding launch, hosted exclusively on Gamefound . Traditionally known for its retail partnerships, the brand is taking a new approach-inviting fans directly into the creative process.
“Crowdfunding gives us something bigger than funding,” said Alan Fenwick. “It gives us a community. It’s proof that when fans and creators unite, we can make truly special collectibles that reflect our shared passion for the worlds we love.”
Three exclusive campaign tiers await backers-each offering unique rewards and treasures worthy of Xanathar’s hoard.
By supporting the campaign, fans not only help bring the Xanathar Cable Guy to life but also signal to licensors and retailers that there is a real demand for authentic, story-driven collectibles that combine design, function, and fandom.
